Thanks for a Great Lions Club Show In Anchorage!

Wednesday, September 28, 2011 by Michael Meador

After a cross country trip Craig and Steve have returned safe and sound from the USA Canada Lions Leadership Forum in Anchorage.  They brought back many great stories and memories, and we just wanted to give a big thank you to all who stopped by our booth at the show.  We showed off several new custom Lions Club pins at the booth this year, but I think our greatest attraction was our new Lions Fundraising idea products and lions club awards.  If you did not make it out to the show this year and want to see what you missed just send us a quick email by clicking on the link above asking to see our new Lions Club products and we'll be happy to get you samples out.  You can also see samples of our new crystal key tag here and our etched medallion award plates here.  If your club is looking to raise some funds through a new innovative product then you should also check out the Wipe It Now screen cleaners here.

I hope all of you who attended the show learned a lot to take back with you to your districts and we look forward to seeing you next year in Tampa!

P.S. - For those of you who actually call in and talk to Craig and I, make sure to ask Craig how his trip up the mountain was.  Better yet send Craig an email here: craig@we-belong.com and let him know the benefits of taking a flashlight out into the woods at night.

The Best Lions Club Award of 2011 - Etched Medallion Plates Are Here

Thursday, August 18, 2011 by Michael Meador

This past year we have had numerous requests from members of Lions Club International asking for a unique gift that they could give as an award to outstanding Lions or Lions Club supporters.  After quite a bit of design and development, we are pleased to bring to you the Lions Club Etched Medallion Plate!
Lions Club Award

These awards are a fantastic option when a lapel pin, challenge coin, or certificate simply will not convey enough appreciation.  These plates can be proudly displayed in club entrances, on podiums, and tables as each piece comes with its own satin lined gift box and wooden stand.  Customization options are available for the plates, and the stock design you see above has a low minimum of only one piece!  If you are looking for the perfect gift to let you know your cabinet, sponsors, and volunteers just how special they are then please do not hesitate to contact us today.

Thank you again to all our supporters and customers, we greatly appreciate your business.

MD25 Lions Pin - 1 Prestigous Award, 2 Consecutive Years

Friday, August 5, 2011 by Michael Meador
Lions Club PinUpon returning from an extremely successful Lions Club International Convention in Seattle (by the way a quick thank you to all who stopped by the booth, it was great to meet you!) we received a great bit of news that we are very proud to share.  For the second consecutive year the MD25 Lions Trading Pin we had the pleasure of producing has won the Lions International Trading Pin Club (LITPC) MD pin of the year award.   This was a great surprise and honor coming off the heels of winning the same award last year (as well as winning Lions Club International MD lapel pin of the year).  A big congratulations to our fellow Hoosier Lions in MD25 as they are the real recipients of this honor for the last two years.  A special thank you to Indiana Lion Mike Gutyan and his better half Helen.  They have conceptualized the lapel pin art for the last several years and we have helped them turn their concept into a tangible piece.

Thanks again for all your support and congrats to MD25!  Don't forget to click the quote request link above if you are looking for a custom lapel pin!

Lions Club PinIt's been a crazy few weeks around here at Recognition Services as we having been preparing our booth for the upcoming Lions Clubs International show in Seattle.  However we are sure our efforts will have a big impact on the exhibitor show hall in the 2400 aisle.  If you are lucky enough to make it out to Seattle please make sure to swing by our booth 2411 and say hello to Craig and Steve, they are very eager to get out there and meet with you all!

2011-2012 District Governors - Let's talk Lions Pins

Thursday, March 3, 2011 by Michael Meador

In a few months the torch of leadership will be passed from outgoing District Governor to incoming District Governor in the Lions Club International world.  As terms begin and end on July 1st every year, the months leading up to this event can be very tiring and stressful to say the least.  To the current District Governors we say, keep your head up and finish the race strong.  Lead your district to do great things and make sure the incoming District Governor  has a great head start on keeping momentum moving forward.  Also take the time as your term winds down to recognize and reward those Lions Club members in your district that have helped you all year long.  If you are in need of ideas for Lions Club award items for these members, please contact us so we can help you make something meaningful for their help.

Now a message to all you incoming District Governors for 2011-2012: NOW IS THE TIME TO ORDER YOUR LIONS CLUB PIN!.  Far too often Craig and I see too many VDG's wait until the last minute to place their order.  Please contact us today so we can get this process started (you can click the request a quote button to the right on this screen).  Do not be empty handed when your term begins, when you begin your visitations lions will expect to have a pin in hand!

Let Craig and I take the worry away today.  We would be happy to create something great to commemorate your year!

Lions Club Award Ceremonies

Thursday, December 2, 2010 by Michael Meador
With the year coming to an end we have heard lots of talk from our Lions Club customers regarding their end of year festivities.  While it has been great making custom Lions Club pins, custom Lions coins, and Lions Club patches, it has been even better to be part of these projects that will recognize hard work and dedication the recipients have for Lionism.

If you know of a Lions Club International member who has done great things for the club and community then please leave a comment and give proper due to those members.  We would love to see them get the recognition they deserve.

Since the last post we have been very busy playing catch up from the amazing Lions Club International USA/Canada Forum.  It was a great show for us and we had a great time dealing with all the Lions Club Pins, Lions Club Patches, and Lions Club Coins.

Even more exciting for us are the new Lions Club products that we will be unveiling in 2011.  We have been working with Lions Club International very diligently for the past several weeks preparing for what we know is our strongest line up to help you raise money for your clubs, and award those members who deserve it.  Check those Lions Club 2011 supply catalogs!

Lions Club Pin Emporium Website

Monday, April 19, 2010 by Lions Club Stories
Lions Trading PinsThe Lions Club Pin Emporium Website is for new and longtime pin traders that want to know more about Lions Club International Convention pins that have been issued from the 1950's to the present. The website also provides images and information covering other Lions Club International items of interest like attendance, special awards, etc. It has become "the" reference website to learn about LCI pin trading and is even used by antique dealers as a reference. The website was started in 2004 and averages over 500 unique visitors a week with spikes of over a thousand. Page loads fluctuate wildly from 2,000 to 9,000+ per week which generates a lot of informative communications.

The website is the primary pastime of retiree Lion Verle Malik. Lion Verle has held all local Club offices with the exception of Secretary and has been Zone Chairman three times in different Districts. Lions and especially pin trading got into his blood about eighteen years ago and has been his main focus since retiring in 2002. Twelve to sixteen hours a day are spent researching and communicating with pin traders around the World. All this effort has produced two handbooks that thoroughly cover USA Multiple Districts pins plus a third covering Countries from all continents (except for Antarctica-not many Lions there). If you are or thinking about becoming a Lions Club pin trader this website is a "must" to subscribe to! Whether you join or not, Lion Verle enjoys talking about Lions trading pins so contact him with your questions at lionverl@comcast.net.

Lions Club Coins Build Morale and Give Appreciation

Thursday, April 1, 2010 by Michael Meador
In one of our recent blog posts, we discussed new Lions Club Fundraising Merchandise that we are rolling out in 2010 such as custom Lions Club Coins, Lions Club Patches, Lions Club Pins and even Lions Club Key Chains. We have put our 30 plus years of experience behind our work and have been delivering some truly unique custom designs for Lions Club Fundraising products.

Lions Club CoinsOur customer testimonials are a great reminder that these Lions Club products are most than just a pin, patch or coin – they are a team building piece that Lions Club members wear and share with pride. Several Lions Club leaders are using these products not only for fundraising, but also to recognize those involved for their extraordinary work. We are especially excited about the tradition our custom Lions Club Coins are creating among members. Below is a testimonial we wanted to share from Jack Weist about a custom coin we created for him to use as an award.

“The coins have been a great morale building piece. There are several people who have helped me this last year who definitely deserve the recognition. These key people in my district are given the ‘Jack Weist Award’ and they have been grateful for it. Not many Lion’s are familiar with this tradition so it means something special to them. I would definitely recommend the coin for fellow Lions. It’s a great way to make someone feel appreciated for their hard work.”

Contact us today if you would like to create your own custom Lions Club Coins to use as awards.
